We are currently seeking a Principal Consultant/Senior Associate to work in a technical support role with highly skilled professionals on diverse project teams in a dynamic environment. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing group and company and get involved in a variety of projects for a diverse range of clients. This is a full-time position located in our New York City office.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a key member of the east region to drive profitable growth of the environmental consulting business.
- Develop business with new clients and foster trusted relationships with existing clients.
- Engage in developing and executing strategic consulting work with identified existing and target clients.
- Direct and execute consulting projects, acting as the main client contact for work attained.
- Oversee the safe execution of all phases of a project to meet clients' objectives and company goals for revenue generation and profitability.
- Demonstrate strong technical competence in the services required by clients.
- Manage all phases and aspects of projects to address client goals and objectives.
- Direct the execution of projects to meet technical, quality, budgetary and scheduling requirements.
- Mentor staff through a 'learn-by-doing' model.
- Work cooperatively in a team-based environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in civil, chemical or mechanical engineering, geology, chemistry, or environmental science.
- Professional Licensure in applicable field.
- More than 15 years of experience.
- Proven client development experience and client relationships supported by repeat business, including established contacts in both private and public sector markets.
- Consistent track record of successfully winning and managing large and strategic projects.
- Excellent communication, strategic thinking, and people skills.
- Advanced knowledge of the local, state and federal regulatory landscape and proven negotiation skills with federal, state and local regulators.
