About the position

CrowdStrike's Strategic Advisory Services team is dedicated to enhancing the security programs of our clients through a variety of proactive engagements. As a Principal Consultant, you will be the primary day-to-day lead for strategic engagements, working closely with client leadership to ensure that projects are executed on time and meet our high standards. This role is pivotal in assisting our Strategic leadership team with staffing, thought leadership, business development, and other essential tasks that support our operations. In this position, you will lead large and complex strategic advisory service engagements, interacting with executive-level individuals across diverse industry segments. Your responsibilities will include assessing and developing cybersecurity and incident response programs proactively, helping organizations mature their security posture before incidents occur. You will also be responsible for creating innovative scenarios that allow customers to exercise their response capabilities fully. High-quality written and verbal reports, presentations, recommendations, and findings will be part of your deliverables to customer management. As a thought leader in the industry, you will demonstrate your expertise through blog posts and public speaking engagements, while also identifying and addressing emerging trends in cybersecurity from both government and private sector perspectives. You will manage internal programs and teams, engage in sales and business development opportunities, and support the staffing and scheduling of strategic resources for upcoming engagements.

Responsibilities

  • Lead large and complex strategic advisory service engagements, engaging with executive-level individuals across a wide range of industry segments.
  • Assess and develop cybersecurity and incident response programs in a proactive fashion to help mature the security posture of organizations prior to an incident.
  • Develop cutting-edge scenarios to help customers exercise the full range of their response capabilities.
  • Produce and ensure delivery of high-quality written and verbal reports, presentations, recommendations, and findings to customer management.
  • Demonstrate industry thought leadership through blog posts and public speaking events.
  • Identify and address emerging trends in cybersecurity, drawing on both government and private sector perspectives.
  • Manage internal programs and teams.
  • Engage in some degree of sales and business development opportunities.
  • Support staffing and scheduling of strategic resources on upcoming engagements.

Requirements

  • 8-15 years of experience in IT / Security Management Consulting, holding leadership positions and owning relationships with organizational executives.
  • Experience in Security Program Development, contributing to the development, management, and implementation of security programs.
  • Leadership or key delivery experience in Security Analysis / Operations, understanding cybersecurity from a practitioner standpoint.
  • Experience in Business Strategy / Risk Analysis, helping businesses address a range of risks, including cyber risks.
  • Experience in Cybersecurity Policy, developing new policies or enhancing existing ones related to cybersecurity activities.
  • Experience in Public / Government Affairs, helping government organizations refine cybersecurity priorities.
