About the position

Your role will involve crafting engaging and effective messaging that simplifies complex financial concepts for our customers. You will work closely with our world-class design partners to create award-winning experiences that resonate with millions of users. Your contributions will be visible on the TurboTax homepage, landing pages, and throughout the product onboarding experience, making a significant impact on customer engagement and satisfaction. In this position, you will engage in real conversations with actual customers to understand their needs and pain points. This insight will guide you in creating compelling content that not only addresses customer problems but also drives revenue and conversion for the business. You will be responsible for designing the best copy for various executions, ensuring that it aligns with the TurboTax tone, style, structure, and voice. Your ability to consider usage, space, strategy, media, and brand will be crucial in delivering high-quality content that meets business objectives. Collaboration is key in this role, as you will work alongside product designers, researchers, product managers, and other content designers in a high-intensity, deadline-driven environment. You will be expected to think strategically and articulate your design choices effectively, leveraging AI to enhance your contributions. Your strong strategic mindset will enable you to influence and mentor other content designers, ensuring that the team delivers exceptional work. With 7-8+ years of industry experience, you will establish yourself as a thought leader in content strategy, translating business needs into clear, engaging, and actionable copy for A/B web page tests, onboarding flows, and other web properties. You will also be responsible for researching, conceptualizing, writing, proofreading, and editing copy, while ensuring compliance with style and legal guidelines. Your ability to manage multiple high-level projects and deliver on tight deadlines will be essential in this fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Establish yourself as a thought leader in content strategy; influence, mentor, and guide other content designers to deliver the best work of their lives
  • Translate business needs into clear, engaging, actionable copy for A/B web page tests, onboarding and product flows, and other web properties
  • Work collaboratively with product managers to solve customer problems by leveraging data, customer insights, and industry best practices
  • Work with internal and external resources to ensure copy and design work in concert to deliver against the business requirements and create the best user experience
  • Research, conceptualize, write, proofread, and edit copy
  • Handle special projects as needed
  • Understand sitemaps, wireframes, conversation mapping, and other similar documents and write to their needs
  • Understand web and app production and process
  • Ensure copy is compliant with published style and legal guidelines
  • Deliver on deadline in a fast-paced environment
  • Participate in the broader design and content communities at Intuit and influence across business units

Requirements

  • Experience creating concepts and content for UI
  • Strong strategic mindset that allows you to collaborate effectively with partners
  • Demonstrated experience with web writing for e-commerce sites
  • Familiarity with generative AI and how it can be applied to increase efficiency and scale the content function
  • Strong conceptual, marketing, and writing skills
  • Experience with A/B testing and how to use it to drive improved page performance
  • Ability to grasp technical concepts and quickly get up to speed on our platform and how it impacts your designs
  • Ability to quickly familiarize with brand goals and integrate into actionable copy
  • Ability to self-manage many high-level projects and work within tight deadlines
  • Ability to generate, articulate and present creative concepts and strategies to peers as well as internal constituents
  • Comfortable receiving, responding to, and incorporating feedback
  • Ability to understand and adapt to an existing and evolving design system
  • Good understanding of SEO and how/when to apply it
  • Ability to understand business data and analytics to your work and use it to influence your creative decisions
  • Familiarity with Figma is a plus
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 7-8+ years industry experience
