About the position

The Principal Content Designer will be responsible for transforming complex problems into user-friendly experiences by creating purposeful content for customers, associates, suppliers, and partners. This role involves collaborating with design, product, and business teams to develop foundational tools and frameworks that enhance content quality and consistency. The designer will leverage storytelling skills to present content strategies effectively and foster an inclusive associate experience.

Responsibilities

• Distill complex problems into easy-to-understand experiences through purposeful content creation.
• Champion high-quality content and develop foundational tools and frameworks for efficient scaling.
• Collaborate with design, product, and business partners to shape products and enhance user experience.
• Present vision and content rationale compellingly to the team and leadership.
• Identify, define, and implement solutions that integrate seamlessly into users' lives.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in UX content strategy/design (not product marketing).
• Demonstrated track record of working cross-functionally and shipping successful product copy in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience facilitating workshops and aligning stakeholders with sound rationale.
• Deep appreciation for systems thinking and understanding of information architecture from both design and content perspectives.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Degree in Communications, Journalism, Digital Design, or similar.
• A portfolio showcasing UX case studies, craft, impact, and collaborative process.
• Experience participating in peer reviews and working within a crit culture.
