About the position

The Principal Customer Due Diligence (CDD) Architect will play a crucial role within the Financial Crimes Technology unit, focusing on the design and implementation of new capabilities to meet critical commitments. This position involves collaboration with various teams to ensure that solutions align with the strategic vision of the Financial Crime domain, providing a high level of visibility and engagement across multiple business lines.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the design and implementation of new and enhanced capabilities for Customer Due Diligence.
  • Collaborate with Product, Architecture, and Engineering teams to ensure successful delivery of projects.
  • Work with analysts to understand requirements and produce architectural artifacts and detailed designs.
  • Guide engineers in the implementation of solutions that align with the Financial Crimes landscape.
  • Ensure proposed solutions meet the overall strategic vision of the Financial Crime domain.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
  • Subject matter expertise in Financial Crimes, Customer Due Diligence, Corporate Risk, and Compliance.
  • Substantial experience working with data and data technology, particularly Customer data.
  • Demonstrated experience in Agile development, application design, software development, and testing.
  • Proven experience in software development, focusing on Cloud applications.
  • Hands-on experience in Kafka, Microservices, APIs, Analytics, Batch and Realtime Data processing.
  • Experience with CI/CD and Automation tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Gradle, Maven, MSBuild, NPM, SonarQube, Artifactory, Harness CD & GitOps, IBM uDeploy, Ansible.
  • Understanding of tools and technologies like PowerBI, Tableau, SQL Server, Oracle, Mongo DB.
  • Working experience in designing and architecting applications for cloud environments (GCP, Azure, PCF/Tanzu).
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience mentoring junior engineers.
  • Knowledge of modern architectural paradigms, including service-orientation and cloud enablement.
