About the position

The Principal Cybersecurity Analyst - JEMINI Security Test Engineer position at Northrop Grumman involves working on the Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program, which integrates the Missile Defense System. This role is crucial for ensuring the security and functionality of the Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS) communications system through rigorous testing and evaluation processes. The position requires a strong background in cybersecurity, information assurance, and the ability to collaborate with various teams to maintain and enhance system security.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and utilize a program-level Cyber Test Plan for testing patches, CTOs, and STIG settings.
  • Create a test artifact template for documenting patches and STIG settings involved in functional tests.
  • Develop and utilize a Security Test and Evaluation (ST&E) for Windows and RHEL operating systems.
  • Coordinate with cybersecurity, system administration, and network administration teams for patch installation and vulnerability testing.
  • Establish a tracking mechanism and Plan of Action and Milestones for applying patches and STIG settings.
  • Utilize automated security configuration tools to scan and test STIG configurations.

Requirements

  • An active Top Secret clearance is required to start.
  • 5 years of experience with a Bachelor's degree in an Engineering-related field, or 9 years of experience without a degree, or 3 years with a Master's degree in an Engineering-related field.
  • Must possess a DoD 8140 certification at IAM - Level II or higher (e.g., Security+, GSEC, SCNP, SSCP, CISSP, CAP, CASP+CE, CISM, CISA, GSE, SCNA).
  • Working knowledge of eMASS, JOINT SPECIAL ACCESS PROGRAM (SAP) IMPLEMENTATION GUIDE (JSIG), Common Criteria, and NIAP.
  • Experience in developing and instituting test plans and providing unit-level release testing.
  • Solid experience with RHEL, Windows, networking, and firewall security configurations.

Nice-to-haves

  • Network design and software engineering backgrounds.
