About the position

The Principal Cybersecurity role focuses on maintaining and enhancing AT&T's encryption at rest and Secrets Management infrastructure. The successful candidate will design, engineer, and manage critical encryption environments, collaborating with various application teams to ensure effective utilization of encryption tools and support for application-related issues. This position emphasizes innovative thinking and problem-solving to develop new encryption methods and solutions that set industry standards, while also contributing to the overall cybersecurity strategy of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and grow the AT&T encryption at rest and Secrets Management infrastructure.
  • Design, engineer, and maintain the critical encryption at rest environment.
  • Collaborate with AT&T application teams to onboard and utilize existing infrastructure.
  • Support application teams using encryption tools and maintain current software releases.
  • Assist application teams with any encountered problems related to encryption.
  • Migrate applications from premise-based encryption at rest to Cloud Based encryption at rest.
  • Assess and evaluate next-generation data at rest encryption solutions.
  • Conduct ideation, testing, proof of concept, and support for various cyber-related projects.
  • Analyze complex security issues and develop engineering activities to mitigate risk.
  • Recommend hardware and software solutions to fit AT&T's cybersecurity needs.
  • Develop policies and procedures to minimize network intrusion and vulnerability issues.
  • Block malicious code and applications, and enhance mitigation techniques against future threats.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of strong security background in CyberSecurity with an emphasis on Encryption and CyberSecurity fundamentals.
  • Experience with Linux/Unix/Windows System Admin functions.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Java, and shell scripting.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and document identified system issues for vendor and internal teams.
  • Experience with Public Cloud environments.

  • Microsoft Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900) certification
  • Microsoft Azure Security Engineer Associate (AZ-500) certification
  • AWS Cloud Practitioner certification
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect certification
  • AWS Certified Security Specialist certification.
  • Experience with data at rest encryption products, such as Thales.
  • Knowledge of KeyFactor EJBCA, KeyFactor CMD, Voltage SecureData, Thales data at rest encryption products, HashiCorp Vault Secrets Management, HSM's, and Microsoft Purview.
