About the position

Raytheon is seeking a Principal Cybersecurity Engineer-P4 to support operations and maintenance of custom solutions and Assessment & Authorization (A&A) activities at the Raytheon Aurora Campus. This role involves working in a SCIF environment with flexible hours, focusing on cybersecurity operations, vulnerability management, and compliance management.

Responsibilities

• Use Static Code Analysis tool (Fortify) or Dynamic Code Analysis tool (WebInspect) to review and provide security-focused feedback to software developers.
• Coordinate with software developers and government accreditors to adjudicate findings and false positives from Fortify or WebInspect.
• Brief leadership on Fortify findings and security status for all software releases.
• Download and evaluate the latest DISA STIGs for system hardening and patching.
• Coordinate with software developers and government accreditors to adjudicate new STIGs, patches, and system hardening recommendations.

Requirements

• Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and 8+ years of relevant engineering experience.
• Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret Security clearance is required prior to start date.
• Experience with Cybersecurity Engineering with DoD/Government Programs.
• Experience with downloading & evaluating latest DISA STIGs.
• Experience with Static & Dynamic Software Analysis (ie, Fortify, WebInspect).
• Must possess Security Certification in accordance with DoD 8570.01-M IAT-III (CISSP or equivalent).

Nice-to-haves

• An advanced degree in STEM with 8+ years of engineering experience.
• Experience with NIST Risk Management Framework as described in NIST Special Publication 800-37.
• Experience with System Hardening and Accreditation.
• Experience with Agile, fast-paced, DoD Program execution.
• Self-Starter requiring limited direction and supervision.
