We are seeking an experienced and strategic Data Architect to join our team and play a pivotal role in shaping the organization's data strategy and infrastructure. The Data Architect will be responsible for designing and overseeing the implementation of robust, scalable, and secure data architectures that support our business objectives and enable data-driven decision-making. This role requires a deep understanding of data governance, data quality, and data integration, as well as the ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders across the organization. In this position, you will collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to define and articulate data strategy and objectives aligned with business goals. You will facilitate data governance and stewardship discussions, ensuring alignment on data policies, standards, and best practices. Establishing data governance frameworks, data quality controls, and monitoring mechanisms will be essential to maintain data integrity and consistency. You will conduct enterprise-wide data discovery and profiling to understand existing data sources, structures, and dependencies, and design and develop centralized data models, schemas, and data warehouse architectures that support business intelligence, analytics, and reporting requirements. Your responsibilities will also include architecting secure and efficient data integration pipelines for ingesting, transforming, and loading data from various sources, ensuring data lineage and traceability across the organization's data ecosystem. You will implement data security measures, access controls, and authentication mechanisms to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance. Additionally, you will develop and implement data retention, archiving, disaster recovery, and business continuity policies and plans, continuously monitoring data quality, identifying performance bottlenecks, and optimizing data flows for efficient and reliable data delivery. Collaboration with business units and stakeholders to understand their data requirements, use cases, and analytical needs will be crucial. You will define requirements and specifications for data sources, models, and integrations related to various initiatives, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technical constraints. Working closely with data engineers, business intelligence engineers, and other data professionals will ensure seamless collaboration and alignment across the data ecosystem. You will also provide guidance, mentorship, and knowledge transfer to cross-functional teams on data architecture best practices and emerging technologies, promoting the adoption of data-driven decision-making and fostering a data-centric culture within the organization.
