Oleria is seeking a Principal Data Architect to lead the design and implementation of a cutting-edge data architecture for its identity security platform. This role is pivotal in shaping the company's data infrastructure, ensuring it can handle massive volumes of data while maintaining security and compliance. The ideal candidate will thrive in a startup environment, leveraging their expertise to innovate and mentor future data leaders.

Responsibilities

  • Architect & Build Data Infrastructure: Design and implement the core data architecture for our identity security platform, ensuring it can handle massive volumes of diverse data sources, including real-time cloud identity access logs and metadata.
  • Own & Drive Next Generation Identity Security Schemas: Own the definition and evolution of our data schemas and formats that represent identity security posture, threats, and risks.
  • Optimize Data Pipelines: Build and optimize data ingestion, processing, and transformation pipelines to efficiently collect, clean, and prepare data for AI/ML models.
  • Enable Data-Driven Insights: Design data models and structures that empower our AI/ML engineers to extract valuable insights and build effective security models.
  • Champion Data Governance: Establish and enforce data governance policies, ensuring data quality, security, and compliance with industry regulations.
  • Collaborate: Work closely with backend, AI/ML, and product teams to align data architecture with product requirements and ensure seamless integration.
  • Innovate: Stay ahead of the curve by researching and evaluating new data technologies and approaches to continuously enhance our data infrastructure.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or a related field, with a focus on large-scale, distributed systems.
  • Expertise in data modeling, schema design, and data warehousing principles.
  • Proficiency in SQL and at least one programming language (Golang and Python preferred).
  • Hands-on experience with cloud data platforms (AWS preferred) and big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).
  • Strong understanding of data security, privacy, and governance best practices.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to bridge the gap between technical and business stakeholders.
  • Graph database experience.
  • Familiarity with AI/ML concepts and their implications for data architecture.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with data governance frameworks.
  • Knowledge of additional programming languages beyond Golang and Python.
