About the position

The Principal Data Architect (DA) at DTCC will play a crucial role in advising various teams, including information technology, data analytics, and business/product development, to design and implement a comprehensive database blueprint that supports the enterprise's operations. This position requires a deep understanding of the underlying data and business events within the organization, positioning the DA as a subject matter expert (SME) on data content, its current and potential future uses, and the quality and interrelationships of core data elements. The DA will be involved in end-to-end data lifecycle management, evaluating and recommending new and emerging data management technologies and standards. This position also requires translating business requirements into viable data models and design artifacts, ensuring that they adhere to existing standards and conventions. The DA will develop mapping documents to demonstrate data lineage, revise data dictionaries, and maintain governance practices and architecture patterns.
