About the position

The Principal Data Cloud Solution Engineer at Salesforce is responsible for implementing programs that efficiently scale the technical evaluation of Salesforce Data Cloud across various industries and territories. This role requires a deep understanding of modern cloud data platforms and data analytics tools to drive Data Cloud Annual Contract Value (ACV). The engineer acts as a trusted advisor, collaborating with sales teams and product teams to develop industry-specific use cases and advocate for necessary features based on customer feedback.

Responsibilities

• Implement programs to efficiently scale technical evaluation of Salesforce Data Cloud across the Industry/Territory.
• Leverage understanding of modern cloud data platforms and data analytics tools to drive Data Cloud ACV.
• Act as a trusted advisor with expertise in Data Cloud, the flagship innovation and hyperscale data platform.
• Arrange and conduct in-person and web-based meetings to drive the opportunity lifecycle from technical discovery to technical close.
• Co-create technical close strategy with Account Executives that aligns to customer objectives.
• Collaborate with the Sales Team to prioritize and develop industry-specific use cases.
• Collaborate with Salesforce product teams to understand solutions and advocate for key features needed for success.
• Develop scalable, deployable, reusable, and relevant field enablement technical assets.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative discipline and two years of experience in the job offered or related field, OR Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative discipline and five years of progressively responsible experience in the job offered or related field.
• A related technical degree is required.
