About the position

The Principal Data Engineer will lead the development of innovative data solutions within the Workplace Investing Solutions Office team. This role focuses on creating products that enhance customer service efficiency, particularly through tools like Argus, a digital email assistant designed to streamline communication processes. The position requires a blend of technical expertise, strategic thinking, and collaboration within a dynamic team environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of data solutions that enhance customer service efficiency.
• Participate in architecture and application design.
• Contribute to test automation and best practices.
• Deliver high-quality, innovative, and maintainable software solutions in an agile environment.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders and team members to influence technology decisions.
• Analyze business direction and problems to develop strategic technical solutions.

Requirements

• BS or MS Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent.
• 10+ years' experience in Data Engineering.
• Experience in ETL/ELT tools such as Informatica or SnapLogic.
• Experience in Data Virtualization tools like TDV or Denodo.
• Proficiency in relational databases (PostgreSQL, Oracle).
• Experience in database languages: SQL, PSQL, PL/SQL, T-SQL.
• Preferred experience in ML and Python.
• Experience with EDL/Snowflake (Alation).
• Familiarity with GIT.
• Good experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Solid understanding of Cloud technologies and deployments in AWS (EKS, EC2, RDS, Docker).
• Demonstrated expertise in performance optimization techniques and tools.
