About the position
The position involves serving as a subject matter expert in data management, advising the Office of the IC Chief Data Officer on data governance and interoperability within the Intelligence Community. The role includes developing and implementing data management initiatives and policies, and acting as a strategic advisor to senior government leadership, ensuring alignment between mission needs and policy outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Advise the Office of the IC Chief Data Officer on data management matters.
- Develop, coordinate, and implement data management initiatives and strategies across the Intelligence Community.
- Serve as a strategic advisor to senior government leadership regarding data management policies and practices.
- Interface between technical experts and government leaders to align mission needs with policy decisions.
- Explain and implement best data practices from various sectors.
Requirements
- Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.
- Minimum 10 years of experience with a Bachelor's degree; 8 years with a Master's degree; 5 years with a Ph.D.; or equivalent experience.
- Experience with US federal data management standards and policies.
- Demonstrated data management skills including data governance and maturity models.
- Experience developing policies, strategic plans, or action plans.
Nice-to-haves
- Master's Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related fields.
- Experience supporting a chief data officer.
- Experience working with senior government officials managing competing equities.
- Experience coordinating complex concepts across diverse stakeholders.
- Understanding of National, Intelligence Community, and Department of Defense data policies.
