About the position

The position involves serving as a subject matter expert in data management, advising the Office of the IC Chief Data Officer on data governance and interoperability across the Intelligence Community. The role includes developing, coordinating, and implementing data management initiatives and policies, while acting as a strategic advisor to senior government leadership. The ideal candidate will leverage their extensive experience in data management to support government leaders in achieving effective data practices.

Responsibilities

• Advise the Office of the IC Chief Data Officer on data management matters.
• Develop, coordinate, and implement data management initiatives and policies across the Intelligence Community.
• Serve as a strategic advisor to senior government leadership.
• Interface between technical experts and government leaders to align mission needs with policy decisions.
• Explain and implement best data practices from various sectors.

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.
• Minimum 10 years of experience with a Bachelor's degree; 8 years with a Master's; 5 years with a Ph.D.; or equivalent experience.
• Experience with US federal data management standards and policies.
• Demonstrated data management skills including plans, governance, and maturity models.
• Experience developing policies, strategic plans, or action plans.

Nice-to-haves

• Master's Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, or related fields.
• Experience supporting a chief data officer.
• Experience working with senior government officials.
• Experience coordinating complex concepts across diverse stakeholders.
