About the position

The Principal Data Operations Analyst at Whole Foods Market plays a crucial role in optimizing the supply chain and enhancing business performance through robust data management. Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Merchandising, Tech, and Operations to provide strategic insights that enhance business operations.
  • Develop and execute the Whole Foods item attribution strategy in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Ensure data accuracy and maximize potential through statistical checks and evaluations.
  • Oversee significant analytics initiatives, ensuring alignment with business goals and stakeholder needs.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends and recommend new tools and technologies for functional improvements.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to understand their data needs and provide tailored support.
  • Create and deliver training programs on data tools, processes, and best practices.
  • Conduct regular assessments of industry benchmarks and competitor practices for data operations.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and company policies regarding data processes.
  • Mentor junior team members to foster professional growth and a collaborative work environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (BA/BS).
  • 6-8 years of relevant experience in data operations and analytics.
  • Hands-on experience in developing and optimizing data attribution and leading enterprise-level data efforts.
  • Proficiency in querying and accessing data using tools like Alteryx, SQL, and AWS.
  • Strong communication skills to convey complex data insights to senior leadership.
