About the position

CVS Health is seeking a Principal Data Scientist to lead innovative data-driven strategies aimed at enhancing customer experience and optimizing marketing campaigns. This role focuses on leveraging data analytics to attract new members and retain existing ones, bridging marketing strategies with technical deployment across various digital touchpoints.

Responsibilities

  • Develop marketing audiences, set up test designs and strategies, and communicate results and insights for marketing programs.
  • Create consumer and member audiences using targeting models and consumer health preference segmentation.
  • Connect audiences to targeted media across multiple digital channels and experiences.
  • Track consumers and members across multiple touchpoints along their journey, including digital advertising, web visits, and call center interactions.
  • Construct datasets for reporting and dashboards to monitor marketing program progress across multiple touchpoints.
  • Launch, measure, and report on A/B and multi-variate tests to improve program performance across key indicators.
  • Mine data for insights and performance improvement opportunities to enhance consumer and member journeys.
  • Engage with marketing and business stakeholders to develop go-to-market plans and support marketing strategies with data-driven insights.
  • Manage multiple work streams and projects using excellent time management and planning skills to ensure timely deployment and high-quality results.
  • Utilize excellent data storytelling techniques to create presentations that clearly communicate complex problems and solutions to leadership.
  • Build strong relationships with business, marketing, and tech partners, serving as an advisor and advocate for analytics solutions.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of relevant analytic experience.
  • 5+ years of experience using R or Python.
  • 5+ years of advanced SQL experience.
  • 3+ years of experience with Tableau or React for building dashboards and data products.
  • Direct to consumer marketing experience in a digital-first business.
  • Familiarity with web and paid digital media measurement and optimization, preferably with Adobe Analytics/Customer Journey Analytics and Liveramp.
  • Strong ability to communicate technical concepts to business partners and influence stakeholders effectively.
  • Proficiency in advanced analytics tools and methodologies for analyzing large datasets, building models, and consumer segmentation.
  • Strong knowledge of mathematical analysis methods, machine learning, statistical analyses, and predictive modeling.
