About the position

The Principal Data Scientist for Mental Well-Being at CVS Health is responsible for leveraging data-driven insights and advanced analytics to enhance the mental well-being of members. This role focuses on building and delivering machine learning models, developing a data science roadmap, and collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams to drive impactful strategies that support the mission of fostering a healthier community. The position is remote and requires alignment with central or Eastern time zone work schedules.

Responsibilities

• Build and deliver machine learning models into production that provide insights to key business partners.
• Develop a data science roadmap to address near-term needs while advancing data science capabilities.
• Set operational rigor standards across data science and engineering teams.
• Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to drive impact.
• Create, enhance, and maintain technical documentation for the platform.

Requirements

• 7+ years of work experience developing impactful ML/AI solutions and managing them into production.
• 6+ years of programming experience in R/Python and SQL.

Nice-to-haves

• 10+ years of work experience building sophisticated and scalable solutions.
• Experience in Insurance, Healthcare, and related data for creating risk models and optimizing long-term health outcomes.
• Prefer a Master's degree or PhD in a STEM field.
• Experience with Agile environments.
• Experience with cloud computing (GCP, AWS, or Microsoft Azure).
• Experience with experiment design (AB testing, randomized-controlled trials, factorial design, etc.).
