This role requires extensive engagement through the Engineering Validation Test (EVT) phase and beyond, ensuring that overall design quality metrics are met. The successful candidate will develop and maintain close technical relationships with suppliers and partners regarding product roadmaps and technologies, lead the technical response for Requests for Quotation (RFQ), and deliver key documents such as System Requirements Documents (SRD) and technical proposals. Acting as the primary technical interface between Celestica and its customers, particularly during technical escalations, the candidate will provide technical support to business development teams to assist in securing new business opportunities. Additionally, the Principal Engineer will participate in the selection and hiring of design team resources, identify and champion process improvement efforts, and engage in standards committees and industry groups as assigned. The role also involves preparing and presenting technical presentations to customers, industry groups, and at tradeshows, while maintaining current knowledge of industry trends and future technology and market opportunities.
