About the position

As a Principal Designer within the Global Design team at PayPal, you will play a crucial role in influencing strategic design decisions and delivering exceptional end-to-end experiences across various platforms. This position emphasizes collaboration within a diverse team, advocating for inclusive design practices, and inspiring creativity to enhance the customer journey in the Purchase (B2C) segment.

Responsibilities

• Influence design decisions within the Purchase (B2C) customer journey.
• Support and inspire the creative vision and output standards across the design team.
• Apply a customer-focused, iterative design process.
• Make design decisions based on research and insights, advocating for continuous learning and inclusive design best practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional team members including Research, Content Design, UX Operations, Branding, and Product and Engineering stakeholders.
• Facilitate workshops and other collaboration techniques to drive momentum and credibility within the organization.

Requirements

• At least 8+ years of experience in a senior UX role.
• A portfolio showcasing your design process and use cases is required.
• Proven experience in influencing and inspiring highly talented and productive teams.
• Thorough command of the UX lifecycle with deep experience in all skill areas and tools.
• Excitement about collaborating and communicating closely with teams and stakeholders in a distributed model.
• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in a visual or experiential design discipline is preferred but not required.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in facilitating workshops or collaboration techniques.
• Strong storytelling skills in design presentations.
