About the position

As a Principal Designer at Paula's Choice Skincare, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the visual identity of the brand. This position focuses on leading design initiatives while collaborating with cross-functional teams to create impactful branding and customer experiences across various channels. You will be responsible for overseeing the creative process, mentoring junior designers, and ensuring that all design outputs align with brand guidelines and campaign objectives.

Responsibilities

• Develop 360 campaign assets and provide design direction & active support to cross-functional teams.
• Monitor project output across channels to ensure consistency, quality, and compliance with both campaign-specific visual cues and overall brand guidelines.
• Strategize and collaborate closely with Brand, Marketing & DTC partners to optimize and redesign new & existing collateral.
• Oversee asset development and overarching design strategy from ideation to execution.
• Support junior designers, providing ongoing professional development and training opportunities.
• Develop and implement strategic thinking within the creative team.
• Provide overarching support to creative team members as necessary.
• Other responsibilities as assigned by your manager.

Requirements

• Demonstrated talent with a portfolio showcasing examples of relevant digital assets including 360 / multichannel campaign creation.
• Bachelor's degree in graphic design or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in graphic design and production.
• 3+ years Corporate-level experience creating suites of marketing collateral.
• Experience in the cosmetics &/or skincare field.
• Experience simultaneously creating retail and digital assets including visual merchandising, site, email & paid advertising.
• Professional Level Experience in Video Creation / Implementation & Graphic Animations.
• Highly motivated self-starter, detail and quality oriented.
• Strong team player with a positive attitude and enthusiasm to get things done.
• Excellent communication (both written and verbal), interpersonal skills and experience.
• Experience coaching/mentoring junior designers.
• High proficiency in Adobe CC Suite; including Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign & AfterEffects.
• Ability to effectively & proactively prioritize tasks.
• Exceptional time management and problem-solving skills.
• High attention to detail.
• Strong production skills with the ability to take direction while collaborating with a wide variety of team members.

Nice-to-haves

• UX / UI Knowledge and Basic Understanding of Code, Responsive Web Design.
• Hands on design experience across Digital, Retail, and Ecommerce space.
