About the position

The Principal DevOps Engineer (Database Focus) will lead initiatives within the Database Engineering team, focusing on managing distributed databases, automation, and business intelligence technologies. This role involves developing infrastructure as code, managing automation processes, overseeing CI/CD pipelines, and driving cloud database strategies and implementations.

Responsibilities

• Lead Aurora PostgreSQL Database team initiatives
• Develop infrastructure as code using Terraform
• Manage automation with Python, Ansible, Chef
• Oversee CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins/GitLab)
• Drive cloud database strategy and implementation

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent
• 8-10 years relevant experience
• Strong IaC experience (Terraform)
• Python scripting proficiency
• AWS Aurora Postgres and Oracle Database expertise
• AWS Cloud architecture knowledge
• CI/CD pipeline management experience
• Unix/Linux expertise
