About the position

SAIC is seeking a highly experienced and visionary DevSecOps Engineer Senior Principal to design, deploy, operate, and maintain secure Cloud products and services. This role is focused on enabling development teams to deliver features efficiently within a Cloud-based environment. The position is fully remote and involves maintaining continuous build/integration infrastructure, supporting CI/CD tools, and collaborating with various teams to automate and improve processes.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, operate, and maintain secure Cloud products and services within a Cloud-based environment.
• Contribute to the maintenance and ongoing development of continuous build/integration infrastructure.
• Provide Source Control Management/Documentation and create/maintain fully automated CI build processes for multiple environments; write, build, and deploy scripts.
• Support CI/CD tools integration, operations, change management, and maintenance.
• Support full automation of CI/testing processes.
• Support policies, standards, guidelines, governance, and related guidance for both CI/CD operations and developer work.
• Enable successful release management by moving code from Development and Testing environments to Staging and Production.
• Collaborate closely with software developers, production support, and information security to automate and support infrastructure and tooling in cloud-based platforms.
• Provide guidance and apply agile and DevOps/DevSecOps practices to streamline product delivery and ensure reliable operations.
• Continuously identify opportunities to automate tasks and improve efficiency.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and nine (9) years or more of experience, or Master's degree and four (4) years or more of experience; will consider additional 4 years experience with a HS diploma in lieu of a Bachelor's degree.
• US citizen required and candidates must have an active Public Trust clearance before starting.
• Candidates must be able to obtain a Secret security clearance.
• Strong understanding and wide application of technical principles, theories, and concepts in the field.
• Proven ability to provide technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems.
• Demonstrated ability to work under general direction, independently determining and developing approaches to solutions.
• Experience in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
• Track record of contributing to the completion of specific programs and projects.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Agile software development using Scrum or Kanban.
• Familiarity with Agile collaboration tools such as Atlassian Jira and Confluence.
• Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab, Bitbucket, or MS Azure.
• Knowledge of Cloud - Platform One and Cross Domain Solutions (C-ATO).
• Experience with Multi-Level Security Networks (MLS / MILS).
• Containerization experience with Docker or Red Hat Podman.
• Container management experience with Kubernetes and Helm.
• Security automation experience with tools such as SAST and DAST.
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC) experience with CloudFormation, Azure Resource Manager, Bicep, Ansible, and/or Terraform.
• Understanding of software n-tier architectures.
