Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of software developers in large-scale application development projects/programs.
  • Design holistic solutions in a complex environment, considering the impact on entire landscape in the design and providing solutions that are sustainable for the long term.
  • Research/troubleshoot, maintain and configure software, create test scripts, and test applications and interfaces.
  • Lead the technical portion of projects, schedule and run meetings, and coordinate with the business and other key stakeholders.
  • Research, evaluate, and recommend software and hardware products.
  • Design and implement architecturally compliant system landscapes.
  • Make recommendations to enhance processes, procedures, and policies relating to systems functioning or performance.
  • Identify and mitigate risks with timely communication to stakeholders.
  • Drive progressive improvements to enhance processes, functionality, etc.
  • Lead the development or expansion of coding standards initiatives.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of software code development leading practices, and serve as a thought leader to the organization.
  • Provide coaching and development to junior developers, and improve efficiency of team to resolve problems.
  • Identify, recommend, and implement process improvement opportunities for application development programs.
  • Facilitate code development/engineering training and education programs for team members.
  • Drive the development of business and technical process documentation and training materials.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in computer science, information systems, software engineering, or related field; plus 5 years of experience in job offered or as software/application developer.
  • Knowledge of Informatica Power Center, Power Exchange, SQL, cloud platforms (Azure or AWS), Hadoop (HDFS), UNIX/Linux, and shell scripting.
  • Experience evaluating and improving code quality/standards; interacting with the business community/customers; and coordinating and leading development teams/projects.
