About the position

The Principal Digital Product Manager at REI Co-op will lead the Product Detail Pages and expertise-focused digital experiences, driving the product vision and strategy to enhance customer experiences. This role involves collaboration with various stakeholders to solve complex customer problems and deliver impactful products in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Solve the co-op's biggest and most complex customer problems, often spanning across divisions.
  • Articulate a product vision and strategy, translating it into product team objectives.
  • Inspire and align the organization behind the product vision and strategy.
  • Collaborate fluently with design, engineering, and data science to implement experiments.
  • Recognize dependencies, remove barriers, ensure smooth product delivery, and proactively communicate risks to stakeholders.
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with key stakeholders to facilitate team success.
  • Effectively communicate and align with multiple product teams, stakeholders, and executives to drive towards common goals.
  • Develop qualitative and quantitative data insights from customer research, data analysis, and business analytics to help drive solutions.
  • Advocate effectively for the customer's point of view during product ideation.
  • Utilize and help improve product practices for the Co-op.

Requirements

  • 10+ years' experience managing technical platforms or digital consumer products.
  • 7+ years' experience as a Product Manager or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5+ years of experience designing and delivering products in an e-commerce environment.
  • Experience working collaboratively with architects/engineers, data analysts, and UX designers.
  • Proven track record of delivering impactful products in an agile environment.
  • Proven ability to use a range of discovery tools and leverage data for informed product decisions.
  • Technical fluency and ability to communicate user and business benefits for various technologies.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience; MBA preferred.
