About the position

The Principal Director, Technology Strategy at Accenture is a senior leadership role focused on advising clients in the Health & Public Service sector on technology-driven strategies that enhance business operations and models. This position requires a blend of strategic consulting expertise, leadership skills, and a deep understanding of technology trends to help clients navigate complex challenges and achieve their strategic goals. The role emphasizes building trusted relationships with clients, leading project delivery, and mentoring junior team members to foster a high-performing team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Run delivery to assess clients' industry landscapes and business options in the context of global trends.
  • Lead project delivery to identify the right solutions for clients' needs.
  • Head projects to ensure clients are positioned for long-term success with practical roadmaps for Digital, IT, or Cloud strategy.
  • Earn the trust of senior leaders at client organizations and partner with them to create strategic solutions.
  • Build relationships with clients to enhance Accenture's profile as a trusted advisor.
  • Contribute to Accenture's Technology Strategy practice by creating content and participating in professional forums.
  • Lead projects that deliver world-class business technology strategy solutions.
  • Mentor junior members of the Strategy team and prepare them for increased responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Minimum 8 years of strategy consulting experience at a consulting firm or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in at least 2 of the following: operating model strategy, technology in M&A, tech value cost take-out, or technology-driven revenue growth strategy.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in the Insurance OR Health & Public Service (H&PS) industry.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience writing business cases to support strategic business initiatives or IT transformation.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience leading or managing small teams effectively.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience publishing thought leadership or presenting at conferences.

Nice-to-haves

  • MBA or equivalent graduate degree.
  • Experience managing budgeting and forecasting activities.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking and ability to provide creative solutions.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with senior leaders at client organizations.
  • Advanced presentation and public speaking skills (C-level).
