The Electrical Engineer position at BAE Systems involves designing, developing, and testing advanced navigation products, specifically Modernized M-Code GPS Receivers for defense programs. This role is part of a hybrid work environment, allowing for both onsite and remote work. The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve complex engineering problems and contribute to the development of industry-leading technologies that support military operations.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop industry-leading navigation products.
• Conduct hardware requirements analysis and capture.
• Integrate and test GPS products in collaboration with system and software development teams.
• Develop technical reports, presentations, and verification artifacts.
• Perform trade studies, work estimates, and integration activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline and 6 years of relevant experience, or an Advanced degree and 4 years of relevant experience.
• Ability to obtain a DoD Security Clearance (US Citizenship required).
• Strong time management skills and ability to work unsupervised.
• Effective communication skills (written, verbal, and interpersonal).
• Experience with hardware requirements capture, electrical design, and testing of electronics and circuits.
• Proficiency with electrical design tools and PCB design.

Nice-to-haves

• Familiarity with power electronics including component selection and DC-DC converter design.
• Experience with high-speed electrical design features such as ethernet and DDR memory.
• Knowledge of EMI/EMC testing.
• Working knowledge of Mil-Stds for Electronic subsystems.
