About the position

The Principal Engineer, Electrical at Venture Global LNG is a senior technical role responsible for overseeing the transition of the facility from the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) phase to operations. This position requires a deep understanding of electrical engineering principles, particularly in the context of the Oil & Gas industry, and involves providing expert guidance on electrical systems, conducting reliability engineering support, and leading root cause failure analysis efforts.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Electrical system engineering issues.
• Provide daily support to Maintenance & Operations teams for electrical systems.
• Offer advanced diagnostic support for rapid production recovery during equipment failures.
• Lead Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) exercises and present findings to stakeholders.
• Interpret and evaluate recommendations from Reliability Technicians on predictive programs.
• Assist the Maintenance team with Turnaround planning and execution.
• Track availability and improve overall reliability of plant equipment.
• Evaluate workflow processes and identify critical spares for Electrical systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Professional Engineering License preferred.
• Minimum of 15 years of experience in a senior engineering role with electrical equipment in an industrial setting.
• Experience in the Oil and Gas industry, preferably with LNG applications.
• Extensive knowledge of motors, gas turbines, and compressors.

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge of CMMS Systems.
• Familiarity with RCFA tools for conducting failure analysis.
