As a Principal Engineer in Industrial Engineering at GlobalFoundries, you will play a critical role in analyzing and calculating the capacity parameters for equipment groups. This analysis is essential for identifying the equipment capability necessary to generate fab capacity. You will lead process improvement teams and coordinate with cross-departmental team members to develop actionable plans aimed at enhancing capacity, achieving cost savings, and improving cost efficiency initiatives. Your responsibilities will include updating and running the capacity model for both ramp plans and new product analyses, as well as analyzing capacity output to make informed recommendations regarding fab tooling purchases, retrofits, or transfers. In this role, you will also be tasked with identifying productivity improvement opportunities by generating potential enhancements from tool bottleneck processes, Overall Equipment Efficiency (OEE), and other capacity-limiting factors. Your goal will be to improve overall fab capacity and cycle time to meet the ramp plans effectively. You will lead small project technical teams to enhance factory output using advanced analytics and will be responsible for preparing and presenting data to an executive-level audience. It is imperative that all activities are performed in a safe and responsible manner, supporting all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.
