About the position

Palo Alto Networks is seeking experienced senior level Software Engineers to join their App Acceleration team. The role focuses on developing and delivering next-generation technologies, emphasizing collaboration, innovation, and a commitment to quality in software development. Engineers will be responsible for designing, implementing, and improving scalable software features while working closely with various teams to ensure high-quality outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and implement highly scalable software features
• Participate in architecture, design and development of App Acceleration features
• Research and implement different frameworks suited to the solution
• Work with different development and quality assurance groups to achieve the best quality
• Suggest and implement improvements to the development processes
• Work with DevOps and Technical Support teams to troubleshoot customer issues

Requirements

• At least 10 years of experience in system software development
• Experience with developing control plane software using Golang
• Experience in Redis, Influx DB, Elastic Search
• Experience with building scalable systems
• Good grasp of asynchronous programming, multithreading and multiprocessing
• Able to troubleshoot system-level integration and performance issues
• Fast learner and eager to absorb new emerging technologies
• Can-do attitude on problem-solving, quality, and ability to execute
• Enjoys working with different teams with strong collaboration and communication skills

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with BigQuery or similar ecosystems
• Strong proficiency in Python
