About the position

The Principal Enterprise Architect - Data at Kimberly-Clark is responsible for designing and implementing data frameworks that support AI and Machine Learning (ML) initiatives across the enterprise. This role focuses on creating scalable and secure data architectures, ensuring alignment with business goals, and driving the adoption of innovative technologies. The architect will lead efforts in generative AI, data security, and ethical AI practices while collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance the company's data strategy and capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Own the North Star Architecture for AI/ML and Generative AI, aligning to other technical and functional target architectures.
  • Define Enterprise Data Architecture by designing scalable, secure, and efficient data architectures for AI, ML, and Generative AI.
  • Stay abreast of advancements in generative AI and explore incorporation into enterprise use cases.
  • Recommend and adopt best-in-class AI/ML platforms and tools that align with organizational goals.
  • Lead R&D initiatives to explore innovative AI/ML use cases such as predictive analytics and automation.
  • Architect solutions that adhere to strict data privacy and security protocols.
  • Ensure AI/ML models are transparent, ethical, and free from bias.
  • Collaborate with data scientists and ML engineers for model lifecycle management.
  • Design the underlying infrastructure to support large-scale AI/ML workloads.
  • Ensure smooth integration of data from multiple sources into AI/ML models.
  • Work closely with various stakeholders to align AI and ML initiatives with business goals.
  • Lead and mentor teams in AI, ML, and data engineering.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of Information Technology experience.
  • 10+ years of architecture experience.
  • Experience developing architectural blueprints, standards, and road maps.
  • Extensive knowledge of data architecture principles, particularly for AI/ML and generative AI applications.
  • Proven experience in designing and implementing data architectures for AI and ML initiatives.
  • Hands-on experience with Generative AI models and applying them to business problems.
  • Demonstrated experience in implementing data governance, privacy, and security best practices.
  • Experience in designing scalable systems for real-time AI/ML workflows.
  • Proficiency with cloud platforms like Microsoft Azure and AI/ML services.
  • Strong expertise in AI/ML frameworks and tools like TensorFlow and PyTorch.
  • Familiarity with advanced Generative AI models and experience in deploying them.
  • Proficiency in big data tools and platforms like Snowflake and Spark.
  • Strong experience in relational and non-relational database design.
  • Expertise in programming languages used in AI/ML, such as Python and R.
