About the position

The Principal Enterprise Architect - Data at Kimberly-Clark is responsible for designing and implementing data frameworks that support the development and scaling of AI and Machine Learning (ML) models across the enterprise. This role focuses on aligning data architecture with business goals, ensuring the integration of cutting-edge AI technologies, and leading initiatives that drive innovation and efficiency in data management. The position requires a deep understanding of data architecture principles, particularly in relation to Generative AI and ML, and involves collaboration with various stakeholders to ensure successful implementation of data strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Own the North Star Architecture for AI/ML and Generative AI, aligning with other technical and functional target architectures.
  • Define Enterprise Data Architecture to design scalable, secure, and efficient data architectures for AI, ML, and Generative AI.
  • Stay updated on advancements in generative AI and explore incorporation into enterprise use cases.
  • Recommend and adopt best-in-class AI/ML platforms and tools that align with organizational goals.
  • Lead R&D initiatives to explore innovative AI/ML use cases such as predictive analytics and automation.
  • Architect solutions that adhere to strict data privacy and security protocols.
  • Ensure AI/ML models are transparent, ethical, and free from bias.
  • Collaborate with data scientists and ML engineers for model lifecycle management.
  • Design infrastructure to support large-scale AI/ML workloads, including storage and real-time processing capabilities.
  • Ensure smooth integration of data from multiple sources into AI/ML models.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of Information Technology experience.
  • 10+ years of architecture experience.
  • Experience developing architectural blueprints, standards, and road maps.
  • Extensive knowledge of data architecture principles supporting AI/ML and generative AI applications.
  • Proven experience in designing and implementing data architectures for AI and ML initiatives.
  • Hands-on experience with Generative AI models and applying them to business problems.
  • Experience in implementing data governance, privacy, and security best practices.
  • Experience designing systems for real-time AI/ML inference and training workflows.
  • Proficiency with cloud platforms like Microsoft Azure and AI/ML services.
  • Strong expertise in AI/ML frameworks and tools like TensorFlow and PyTorch.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with advanced Generative AI models such as GPT, BERT, DALL·E, or Stable Diffusion.
  • Experience with big data tools and platforms like Snowflake and Spark.
  • Strong experience in relational and non-relational database design.
  • Expertise in programming languages used in AI/ML, such as Python and R.
