About the position

DIRECTV is seeking a Principal Enterprise Solution Architect who will serve as a technical expert responsible for designing and implementing solutions to complex problems. This strategic leader will be the go-to person for the organization regarding new technology implementations and solving difficult issues. The role involves working on various projects, collaborating with engineers and developers to design and build new systems or improve existing ones.

Responsibilities

• Technical Lead on solution deployment projects, including hands-on configuration of complex components.
• Translate business requirements into specific systems, applications, or process design within comprehensive integrated technical solutions architecture.
• Collaborate with internal and external teams on design, architecture, interface design reviews, and process reviews.
• Continuously evaluate various parts of the platform for opportunities for security hardening and improvements in observability.
• Evaluate new technologies and industry trends, develop proof-of-concepts, and present findings to the engineering organization.
• Communicate with developers and users of our platform to understand pain points, bottlenecks, and desired features to continuously improve the platform.
• Implement design/development and testing/readiness/deployment activities with the team.
• Align solutions with standards and best practices working with cross-functional teams/clients.
• Perform risk analysis & create mitigation strategies with continuous evaluation and validation of system design and architecture.
• Participate in design, development, implementation of real-time operations management software and integration into other systems.
• Evaluate internal functions, business development strategies, and IT processes and suggest improvements.
• Create business architecture models to reflect the organization's strategies and goals and create and implement business visions and goals.
• Determine and implement build versus buy strategies, mentor personnel, and view the overall business strategy.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, software engineering or a related field, preferred.
• 5+ years of direct implementation, upgrade, and support experience.
• Technology Experience preferred: Salesforce, Confluent Kafka, Oracle Financials, Oracle SCM, AWS, Decisioning, AI/ML experience.
• Domain Experience preferred: Billing, Supply Chain, Finance, Tax, Product Catalog, Offers, Real Time Decisioning.
• Experience in system and solution architecture may be advantageous.
• Strong creative thinking, problem solving, planning, time-management, and organization skills to balance and prioritize work.
• Business acumen to understand the needs of our business and how technology helps to achieve our goals.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good leadership and motivational skills.
• Experience in modeling and graphic representations.
