About the position

A successful NSS FP&A Analyst develops, interprets, and implements financial concepts. This role involves gathering, analyzing, preparing, and summarizing recommendations for financial plans, trended future requirements, and operating forecasts. The analyst performs economic research and conducts analysis of financial statements, preparing reports of findings and recommendations to management. Additionally, the analyst may monitor business performance by unit, division, or brand, run valuation models, and manage financial analyses associated with mergers, acquisitions, and disposal processes. Analyzing financial performance, including comparison of actual results against planned results, is a key responsibility of this position. This role will be performed in a hybrid remote format, with the individual splitting their time between working on-site at our office in Cedar Rapids, IA, and remotely. To qualify for this role, the individual must reside within a commutable distance from our Cedar Rapids offices. The analyst will lead the NSS Segment hardware forecast and analysis of orders, sales, and gross margin. They will support sector QBR (Quarterly Business Review) and IBP (Integrated Business Plan) forecasts and reviews, providing weekly risks and opportunities against forecast and monthly variances on actuals. The analyst will reconcile orders, sales, and gross margin to ensure alignment across the forecast and reporting, and support all Segment/Sector reporting/audit requirements as needed. Adaptability to various work styles and environments is essential to complete tasks on schedule, and collaboration with a variety of individuals across the segment is necessary to build an attainable and challenging forecast in support of targets.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree and 6 years work experience or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in a corporate finance role, ideally with involvement in FP&A (financial planning & analysis).
  • Experience preparing and presenting financial data.

Nice-to-haves

  • Advanced use of Excel analytics.
  • Experience with MIDAS, Oracle & Hyperion (PGM).
