About the position

The Principal Financial Analyst/Material Asset Manager is responsible for providing comprehensive material management administrative support, including budgetary planning, procurement readiness, equipment identification, and inventory management. This role involves working closely with various stakeholders to ensure effective delivery of equipment to government facilities and managing financial data and trends to support budget formulation and execution.

Responsibilities

  • Perform material management administrative support including budgetary planning and procurement readiness.
  • Identify equipment, prepare delivery notifications, and manage shipments.
  • Administer inventory management and government property administration.
  • Utilize Automated Inventory Tracking System (AITS) for tracking and verification of inventory.
  • Prepare the Asset Management Inventory Report due annually on August 30.
  • Support budget formulation, analysis of financial data, and budget execution.
  • Reconcile allotted funds through an agency reconciliation system within 7 business days of month-end.
  • Submit the spend plan by the 9th business day of each month.
  • Provide program and business management support for contracts and task orders.
  • Prepare Purchase Card Requests within 2 business days of request, ensuring compliance with government regulations.
  • Monitor contract invoices and track contract burn rates.
  • Draft and coordinate required contract documentation including Statements of Work (SOWs) and Business Case Justifications.
  • Provide weekly status reports and conduct status meetings with stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with program stakeholders to recommend budget allocation.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience in business management functions such as budgeting, financial analysis, and logistics support.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel.
  • Bachelor's degree with at least 24 semester hours in accounting, business, finance, or related fields.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with FAA systems (Regis, Delphi, Prism).
  • Familiarity with the capitalization process and spend plan.
