Principal Financial Analyst

About the position

The Principal Financial Analyst at ZF is responsible for overseeing general ledger accounting and financial reporting for the Marshall operation. This role involves managing budgeting, forecasting, and compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley, while also supporting the creation of the Operating Plan and Long-Range Plan. The analyst will work closely with department managers to develop budgets and perform month-end close processes, ensuring accurate financial statements and adherence to company policies.

Responsibilities

• Review general ledger accounting and financial statement preparation.
• Forecast A/R, A/P, inventory, and cash flow for the Marshall operation.
• Manage SAP P&L accounting and create department budgets.
• Assist in the creation of the Operating Plan (OP) and Long-Range Plan (LRP).
• Perform month-end close processes and financial reporting.
• Maintain Sarbanes-Oxley compliance and monitor cost accounting variances.
• Analyze inventory transactions and report impacts on the plant's P&L.
• Establish policies and procedures for cost accounting and review cycle count results.
• Support payroll as a backup and perform other assigned duties.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance; MBA or CPA preferred.
• 8+ years of accounting experience in a high-volume automated manufacturing environment.
• Experience in financial analysis and developing financial presentations.
• Proficiency in SAP FI-CO and query experience.
