About the position

The Principal Financial Analyst will join the High Consequence Missions (HCM) Finance Team at Nightwing, focusing on supporting Finance, Program, and Technical Managers across various programs. This role involves creating complex financial deliverables, managing program life-cycle activities, and conducting detailed financial analysis to ensure effective program management and compliance with federal regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Creation and submittal of complex Customer financial deliverables.
  • Program life-cycle activities such as project setup and maintenance, invoicing support, and month-end close process.
  • Working closely with Supply Chain to monitor Subcontractors and Vendors, tracking metrics including subcontract value and funding.
  • Development of time-phased budgets, forecasting, and analysis of bookings, sales, profit, and cash.
  • Development of quarterly estimates at completion (EAC).
  • Overseeing contract funding and value associated with numerous funding entities.
  • Support program billings by preparing invoice submittals and necessary supporting documentation.
  • Perform ad-hoc analysis and data integrity checks to validate program cost performance.
  • Drive understanding of variances and work with stakeholders to address risks and opportunities.

Requirements

  • Typically requires 5+ years of related financial experience in a Government Contracting environment.
  • Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Basic knowledge of multiple contract types: CPFF, FFP, T&M, CPAF.
  • Excel proficiency.
  • Ability to interface effectively with Program Management team and other functional organizations.
  • Ability to multi-task and guide priorities to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent customer focus and attention to detail.

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous experience working with SAP (APEX & Prism).
  • TS/SCI Clearance, or higher.
