The Principal, Footwear Product Testing Business Operations role at Nike is a senior-level position focused on driving operational excellence within the Footwear Product Testing team. This position acts as a key partner to the Senior Director of Global Footwear Product Testing, influencing and motivating a global team to achieve product excellence. Responsibilities

• Serve as the informal 'Chief of Staff' for the Senior Director of Footwear Product Testing, providing thought leadership and support.
• Drive and execute the product excellence vision and strategy for the Footwear Product Testing team.
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners to implement global strategic plans and ensure seamless operations across testing teams.
• Provide objective measurements of success and dashboards to guide decision-making and operational improvements.
• Represent the Footwear Product Testing Leadership team in cross-functional meetings and discussions.
• Cultivate an inclusive team culture that embraces diversity and encourages open communication.
• Identify and solve operational problems independently, applying new concepts and solutions as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education, experience, or training.
• A minimum of 8 years of directly relevant work experience in footwear, product testing, or related fields.
• Strong communication skills, including the ability to elicit information and actively listen.
• Proven influencing and relationship-building skills across functional teams.
• Experience with Microsoft Office programs and familiarity with statistical analysis tools such as Tableau and Smartsheets.
• Critical thinking and analytical skills to assess complex situations and develop solutions.
