About the position

The Principal Frontend Developer at Broadcom is responsible for creating engaging and user-friendly interfaces for Mainframe products. This role combines design and development skills to enhance the user experience across various applications, leveraging technologies such as TypeScript, React, and GraphQL. The position involves collaboration with Product, UX, and Engineering teams to deliver high-quality software solutions that meet strategic goals.

Responsibilities

• Produce deliverables for use in all products in the Mainframe division teams.
• Work collaboratively with Product, UX, and Engineering teams to understand requirements, design, code, and test innovative applications.
• Contribute to the strategic roadmap and build user interfaces with the in-house component library.
• Provide thought leadership and storytelling around the evolution of digital procurement tools through design.
• Analyze, debug, and assist in problem-solving in both development and production environments.
• Support and contribute to end of iteration demos.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and 12+ years of related experience; or Master's degree and 10+ years of related experience; or PhD and 7+ years of related experience.
• Knowledge and experience in Frontend Development technologies such as HTML, JavaScript, TypeScript, CSS, and React.
• Understanding of MVC and MVVM architectural patterns in front-end architectures.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to solve complex technical issues and implement effective solutions.

Nice-to-haves

• Post-graduate coursework may be desirable.
• Experience with GraphQL and Node.js.
