About the position
In this role, you will join a team of software engineers at Raytheon, focusing on the development of next-generation ground system software for satellite operations. The position involves designing, developing, testing, delivering, and maintaining software solutions that meet the evolving needs of customers and warfighters. You will work in an Agile environment alongside talented engineers and leaders, contributing to classified programs and technologies that enhance national security.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, deliver, and maintain software for satellite ground systems.
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, and leaders in an Agile environment.
Requirements
- Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM).
- 8 years of relevant software engineering experience.
- Experience developing object-oriented software using Java.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued TS/SCI security clearance.
- U.S. citizenship is required.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with C++ and Python programming.
- Knowledge of multi-threaded programming.
- Experience with microservices in cloud environments.
- Experience working within LINUX/UNIX operating systems.
- Familiarity with tools such as Confluence, Eclipse, Jira, Jenkins, Junit, Kafka, and Spring Boot.
