About the position

The Principal Mobile (iOS) Developer at Autodesk will play a crucial role in enhancing the Photos Tool within the ACC Mobile App, which serves as a central information point for users in the construction industry. This position focuses on building a robust mobile platform that supports real-time collaboration and efficient communication on construction sites, while also ensuring the overall health and productivity of the mobile engineering team.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the overall architecture of the Photos Tool within the ACC Mobile App.
• Build and improve the overall health of the mobile platform to enable engineers to be hyper-productive.
• Develop near real-time collaboration and mark-up features for construction drawings.
• Enhance the shared library used across mobile platforms (iOS + Android) written in Kotlin Native.
• Create slick and responsive UI that can handle millions of user-generated data points.
• Build tools to streamline communication and collaboration on construction sites.
• Tackle synchronization and consistency for offline work and editing.
• Replace Excel workflows with simple, powerful tools.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience developing publicly available iOS apps using Swift 5 and/or Objective-C.
• Experience in a team that released Apps to the AppStore using automated tooling (XCode Tool Chain, Jenkins, DevOps).
• Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals, data structures, and algorithms.
• Experience consuming RESTful web services, preferably using Apple-provided protocols.
• Passion for writing highly scalable, reliable code and solving complex problems.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with server-side frameworks (Rails, Django, Flask, etc.).
• Native client experience (Android, .NET).
