About the position

The position is for a cybersecurity technical expert responsible for designing and implementing cybersecurity vulnerability management measures and strategies for Metropolitan networks and infrastructure. The role involves threat analysis, vulnerability management, and risk management, focusing on various systems including Microsoft Windows OS, Linux, Macintosh, and network devices. The job offers a hybrid work schedule, typically requiring two days in the office and three days remote, subject to change based on organizational needs.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement cybersecurity vulnerability management measures.
• Conduct threat analysis and vulnerability management.
• Perform risk management for Metropolitan networks and infrastructure.
• Scan and validate patch status on various operating systems and applications.
• Utilize security tools for vulnerability assessment and management.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
• Eight years of increasingly responsible experience in cybersecurity, with two years at the Senior Programmer Analyst or Senior Systems Analyst level.
• Direct experience with cybersecurity incident response activities related to vulnerabilities and security breaches.
• Valid California Class C Driver's License or equivalent.

Nice-to-haves

• Proven experience in vulnerability assessment and management.
• Familiarity with security tools such as Nessus, Qualys, or OpenVAS.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CEH, CISSP, CompTIA Security+) are a plus.
