About the position

The Principal Infrastructure Architect at enGen is a senior role focused on shaping the infrastructure strategy and innovation agenda for the company. This position requires a visionary approach to technology, influencing architecture and decision-making across various business units. The architect will engage with senior leadership to translate complex problems into actionable strategies, ensuring alignment with business needs and driving technology innovation within the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Develop Enterprise Architecture deliverables that align with business strategy and outcomes.
  • Implement technology innovation agendas to position HM Health Solutions as a leader in technology application.
  • Maintain an enterprise-wide technology architecture strategy that identifies synergies and maximizes ROI.
  • Integrate architecture best practices into critical processes such as vendor management and project management.
  • Lead the solution architecture function for complex initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field (or 6 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree).
  • 8+ years of technical expertise in mainframe and/or open systems environments.
  • 10+ years of experience in the healthcare industry and IT solution delivery.
  • Experience in leading architecture organizations or functions.
  • Strong understanding of modern infrastructure practices, including Infrastructure as Code and Containerization.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field.
  • Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) certification.
  • The Open Framework Group (TOGAF) certification.
  • Six Sigma certification.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
