About the position

The Principal Infrastructure Architect at enGen is a senior role responsible for shaping the infrastructure strategy and architecture within the organization. This position involves collaborating with business stakeholders to align technology with business outcomes, driving innovation, and influencing decision-making at all levels. The architect will develop enterprise architecture deliverables, maintain technology architecture strategies, and integrate best practices into critical processes, ensuring that the company remains a leader in technology application across its various business units.

Responsibilities

  • Work with business stakeholders to develop Enterprise Architecture deliverables that articulate business strategy and outcomes.
  • Develop and implement a technology innovation agenda for HM Health Solutions.
  • Maintain an enterprise-wide technology architecture strategy that catalogs existing architectures and identifies areas for synergies.
  • Provide leadership to integrate architecture best practices into critical processes such as vendor management and project management.
  • Develop the solution architecture function to support complex initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Mathematics or related field, or 6 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
  • 8+ years of technical expertise in mainframe and/or open systems environments.
  • 10+ years of experience in the healthcare industry and IT solution delivery.
  • Experience in leading architecture organizations or groups within an architecture function.
  • Strong understanding of modern infrastructure practices, including Infrastructure as Code and Containerization.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Mathematics or related field.
  • Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) certification.
  • The Open Framework Group (TOGAF) certification.
  • Six Sigma certification.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
