About the position

At Cloudflare, we are on a mission to help build a better Internet. The Principal Internal Event Manager will lead the end-to-end planning, coordination, and execution of key internal events, including, but not limited to, Sales Kick Off and President's Club. This role demands exceptional project management abilities, attention to detail, and the capacity to collaborate effectively across multiple departments, ensuring that all events not only meet but exceed the company's objectives and Cloudflare standards. The successful candidate will partner with GTM leadership to align event objectives with the broader company goals, crafting and implementing strategic plans for events. This includes developing detailed schedules, budgets, and action plans to guide event execution. The role also involves handling all logistical aspects of events, such as selecting venues, managing vendors, event production, registration, travel management, and overseeing on-site activities. Close collaboration with internal teams is essential to ensure flawless integration and smooth execution of events, including working with design on the creation of event collateral. Vendor and stakeholder management is a critical component of this role, requiring the identification, negotiation, and management of relationships with external vendors to secure high-quality and cost-effective services. The Principal Internal Event Manager will act as the main point of contact for all event stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and expectations throughout the process. On-site event management will also be a key responsibility, directing the execution of events and troubleshooting any issues that arise while leading event staff and vendors. Post-event analysis is crucial, as the manager will conduct thorough reviews to assess success against established goals, collect and analyze feedback from attendees and stakeholders, and compile reports on event outcomes, including ROI and attendee satisfaction metrics. Budget oversight is another important aspect, requiring the creation and management of budgets for each event, monitoring expenditures, and identifying opportunities for cost savings without compromising quality.
