About the position

As a Principal IT Analyst at Prime Therapeutics, you will play a crucial role in analyzing, evaluating, and designing or redesigning business, IT, or operational processes. Utilizing scientific approaches such as Critical Thinking, Lean Management, ITIL, Design Thinking, and structured systems analysis and design, you will ensure that the processes align with the organization's goals and enhance operational efficiency. This position requires a hands-on approach, where you will define user stories and acceptance criteria, assist with problem-solving, conduct root cause analysis, and coach junior IT analysts. Your expertise will be vital in ensuring that requirements and acceptance criteria meet business needs, driving usability and quality in the software developed within your area of responsibility. In addition to your analytical skills, you will provide leadership to junior IT Analysts throughout the software development cycle. You will help the team navigate impediments, escalate issues when necessary, and manage changes effectively. Your role will involve collaborating with various stakeholders, including business sponsors, IT leadership, and subject matter experts, to produce sound architectural solutions for projects. You will lead the creation of conceptual and logical specifications across all layers of solutions, ensuring that the needs of the business are met through effective communication and collaboration. Your responsibilities will also include identifying and evaluating both external and internal business needs to determine the required changes in business capabilities. You will work on a variety of enterprise applications, developing relationships with senior stakeholders to address concerns and remove roadblocks that may hinder project progress. Your ability to analyze issues with a focus on root cause identification and prevention will be essential in helping the team arrive at innovative solutions. Responsibilities

  • Analyze, evaluate, and design/redesign business, IT, or operational processes using scientific approaches.
  • Provide leadership to junior IT Analysts throughout the software development cycles.
  • Define user stories and acceptance criteria, assist with problem solving, and conduct root cause analysis.
  • Coach junior IT analysts and ensure that requirements satisfy business needs.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to produce sound architectural solutions on projects.
  • Lead the creation of conceptual and logical specifications for solutions across all layers.
  • Identify and evaluate business needs to determine required changes in business capabilities.
  • Drive usability and quality of the software developed within the area.
  • Help the team manage implementations and deliver enhancements.
  • Develop relationships with senior stakeholders to address concerns and remove roadblocks.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of related experience in IT.
  • Minimum of 3+ years of delivering requirements and testing for high-quality, secure software.
  • Good presentation and communication skills.
  • Highly collaborative with the ability to execute strategies to solve complex business problems.
  • Experience in leading prototyping of potential solutions and performing implementation reviews.
  • Proactive attitude with a focus on ensuring the success of all implementations.
  • Technically proficient and hands-on with mastery of QA methodology and problem-solving tools.
  • Experience applying Design Thinking techniques and critical thinking skills.
  • Strong creativity and initiative, with experience in healthcare, PBM, or insurance industries.
  • Experience working with front-end and back-end systems, including industry-standard claims, billing, or EHR systems.

Nice-to-haves
