We are looking to hire a key member of our Global IT team to be located remotely in the US. The purpose of the Principal IT Business Analyst role is to analyze business and technical processes to formulate and develop new and modified business information processing systems, such as production and inventory control systems, financial tracking systems, marketing and human resources systems. Incumbents in this role represent the business unit to define requirements and business cases for the technology developments. This role may be assigned to interface with and support one or more client organizations such as Finance, HR, Operations & Supply Chain, Procurement, Commercial/Sales/Marketing, Corporate Development, Legal, IT, Research & Development/Science & Technology, and other internal business partners and regional locations. The key responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to the following: Coordinates with the business and technology teams, ascertains system requirements, such as program functions, output requirements, input data acquisition, and system techniques and controls. Delivers on Business Intelligence & Analytics strategy leveraging SAP Business Warehouse (BW 7.5 on HANA), Business Objects (v4.2 WebI), PowerBI and drive alignment with business partners for execution support. Act as internal consultant with business users and partner with business process owners/subject matter experts. Identify functionality gaps and continuous improvement opportunities and develop appropriate business cases to support Kraton strategic initiatives and business changes. Formulates and defines the objectives and scope of business systems. Responsible for initiating communication with business partners and other analysts as necessary to ensure clear understanding of business issues, activity status, etc. Gathers data and analyzing business and user needs in consultation with both business managers and end users. Build strong partnerships in support of business and IT strategic plan, ensuring the alignment with Kraton Global objectives. Makes recommendations on hardware and software procurement to support business goals. This individual also delivers recommendations for change and improvements to the IT leadership as well as identifies and applies system solutions to business problems as directed by the IT leadership. This can include but is not limited to new technology or approaches to process changes. Performs other administrative, functional, and technical tasks as needed.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Minimum of 15 years of relevant work experience designing, building and implementing enterprise level Business Intelligence solutions using SAP BW.
  • Advanced knowledge of and experience in Data Warehouse concepts (modeling, tuning, maintenance), data modeling, SQL, ETL/ELT technologies.
  • Experience with BW-related BASIS activities and administrative functions in the BOBJ Central Management Console (CMC).
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Power BI, Azure DevOps and Azure Data factory is a plus.
  • Considered a subject-matter expert (SME) who works with minimal oversight.
  • Broad understanding of the business and deep IT business/management systems knowledge.
  • Strong influencing, facilitation, communication, and leadership skills to drive change.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Azure Data Factory.
  • Familiarity with Business Objects (BOBJ) Central Management Console (CMC).
