As a Principal System Administrator, also known internally as Principal Analyst, you will be part of a diverse team supporting critical programs with classified information system capabilities. Your success in this role will depend on your ability to develop, implement, and maintain secure, cost-efficient environments across various classified programs. Program teams will rely on your collaboration and guidance to define computing requirements and create end-to-end solutions to solve complex IT infrastructure problems. You will provide IT systems administration in a heterogeneous Redhat Enterprise Linux and Microsoft Windows environment, working as a team member in a fast-paced technological environment. Your responsibilities will include using troubleshooting techniques to resolve technical problems of moderate to high scope and complexity, including the integration of hardware and operating systems. You will also work closely with Cybersecurity professionals to maintain security requirements and provide documentation and training on advanced IT processes and procedures, along with other tasks as assigned. Additionally, you will be responsible for developing solutions and documentation for a variety of technical problems.

Responsibilities

  • Provide IT systems administration in a heterogeneous Redhat Enterprise Linux and Microsoft Windows environment.
  • Collaborate with a diverse team to support critical programs with classified information system capabilities.
  • Use troubleshooting techniques to resolve technical problems of moderate to high scope and complexity, including hardware and OS integration.
  • Work with Cybersecurity professionals to maintain security requirements and provide documentation and training on advanced IT processes and procedures.
  • Develop solutions and documentation for a variety of technical problems.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a bachelor's degree and minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience or a master's degree and minimum of 3 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Must have an active and transferable U.S. government issued TS/SCI security clearance or prior SCI/program eligibility prior to start date.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
  • Must have Linux systems administration experience.
  • Experience with one of the following: Windows, VMWare vCenter, vSphere, VDI, and ESX virtual computing methods is also desirable.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Ansible.
  • Basic Windows experience desired.
  • Department of Defense Directive (DoD) 8140 / 8570 Certification requirements (CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent certification) and an Operating System Certification.
  • Ability to obtain 3 months of direct working experience with NISPOM, JAFAN, JSIG, DFARS and/or DoD/RMF.
  • Experience with data storage, NAS, and SAN technologies and solutions, specifically Net App.
  • Experience supporting engineers in software, simulations, and hardware development.
