posted 5 months ago
At Raytheon, we are committed to helping our nation and allies defend freedoms and deter aggression. Our mechanical design team in Tucson, AZ, is seeking passionate engineers to work on Low Observable (LO) technology, specifically in the areas of Stealth, Radar Cross Section (RCS), and Signature Management. This position involves working on a nationally certified ground plane range, contributing to the full lifecycle of LO weapon systems from initial conceptual design to modeling, analysis, and production support. As part of the Signature Management & Technology Team, you will engage in challenging technical projects that are critical to national security. In this role, you will be responsible for stealth design, analysis, and testing, including proposal writing and Basis of Estimate (BOE) development. You will perform RCS predictions and be familiar with the limitations of Computational Electromagnetic Codes (CEM). Your deliverables will include test documentation, data analysis, anomaly resolution, and results presentation to both internal and external customers. You will collaborate within integrated product teams to incorporate advanced signature control techniques into deliverable products and assess system performance. Occasional non-standard work shifts may be required during testing, and you will document all activities related to test preparation, data analysis, and design trades. Additionally, you will present results of testing, analysis, and design efforts to stakeholders, and may need to travel occasionally for business, training, and conferences. This position also involves project management responsibilities, including identifying links and potential impacts on projects, programs, or systems. We are looking for early to mid-career engineers who are motivated to work with minimal supervision and are eager to contribute to our mission of creating a safer, more secure world.
