About the position

The position involves working within the Solution Engineering team at Arm, focusing on developing solutions to enhance architectural RTL and system inputs for physical design. The role emphasizes low-power design methodologies, UPF strategies for foundation IP, and multi-die power distribution networks (PDN). The candidate will collaborate with front-end SoC and core design teams to ensure effective design architecture and integration of both internal and third-party IPs.

Responsibilities

• Define methodology and automation for low power design.
• Drive end-to-end strategy and automation for UPF constructs, IP, and multi-die power design.
• Develop automation to prepare incoming design collateral for physical implementation.
• Conduct physical aware RTL restructuring, connectivity analysis, SDC and UPF generation, pipelines, and feedthrough.
• Develop strategy and roll-out automation for RTL, ECO version control, QoR, and tapeout tracking.
• Analyze requirements and develop CAD solutions including external EDA tools integration.
• Lead product implementation while collaborating with internal design teams, foundry, and partners.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience with low power design for complex SoCs.
• Strong understanding of Timing, Power, and Physical design.
• Expertise in front-end design tools and flows.
• Outstanding expertise in EDA tool-flows and large-scale automation delivery.
• Strong coding proficiency in Python, C, and Tcl.
• Proficiency with version control systems like git, distributed processing, and disk management.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with multi-die SoC design flows, RTL partitioning, power estimation, and gate level simulation.
• Ability to work with evolving problem statements and solutions.
